LESSON 3 - PE TIME TO VISIT JOE WICKS AS HE MOTIVATES US TO MOVE!
I have placed PE third today, although it will be last in school. That is because the children at home will need to move after all their Maths and English! Now you can join Joe on the lonk below or you can go for your daily exercise - Bike ride, scooter, cricket in the back garden or a long walk. You could plan this with your family - please take a picture and send it to me to post on the blog!
LESSON 4 RELIGION ST DAMIEN
Yesterday we watched a film all about St. Damien’s life. He was in Hawaii for a number of years before he knew about the lepers on Molokai island. He wanted desperately to go to the island and be with these people to help them, to teach them about Jesus and to do what he believed God wanted him to do. When a Priest or Brother wants to move they have to ask permission off the Bishop in that county or region. Imagine you are Damien and you are meeting with the Bishop on Hawaii. What would you say to him how would you persuade him to let you go? Remember Damien lives by what Jesus did and said so it is very important that you explain how you want to be like Jesus. To be successful with this work you must mention the Beatitude - which Beatitude is Damien wanting to follow? What did Jesus do to Lepers? Why is this move so important to him? Do any of your quotes in your J help you can you use any of these to help you persuade? I have made a link here to the beatitudes for you to go over them first and pick out the one or two that St. Damien acted on. Now watch the film - no writing today recording instead - exciting!
