Anyway the second part is the end of the lesson only five mins!!!! There are three key ideas in the lesson today - Journalists use:

Relative clauses, brackets and they take very careful short notes! Are you ready to listen to witnesses and take notes?

LESSON 3 HISTORY -

We have been introduced to smugglers and alongside smugglers were pirates. The story of “Treasure Island” is a very famous story it was written in 1883 by Robert Louise Stevenson - he wrote it for boys! It is a story about a boy called Jack Hawkins who becomes mixed up with a band of smugglers and pirates. He lives in an inn near the coast and this is where he meets some interesting characters. You will recognise the names of the characters in this story - they became very famous (like Harry potter characters today). Enjoy the film and begin to know the legend of Long John Silver just like you know all about Robin hood (very different criminals!) , Once you have watch it complete the film review on your Purple Mash!

Well done everyone - long sessions today! I hope you enjoyed the movie - it is a rip-roaring read too and the book is in the school library! Or click here as I’ve found it on line! You could read it if you want!

Don’t forget to keep working towards your reading target - We have a 6 children who have reached their points total - can you reach yours too?
