Year One Weekly Blog - 20th December

Our final week of term…

We have had a fun filled , fantastic and very busy week this week!

We have been completing lots of Christmas crafts, watching Christmas films, making treats (and eating them), we had a brilliant party and we saw Santa!! We finished off our lovely Christmas memory week with the staff pantomime, where the children LOVED the show that was put on for them.

Now, I will let the pictures do the talking!

We started off with a dance with Mrs Harrison…

Then we made some cookies!

We made some Christmas cards!

and some more…

Then we made some crowns for our Christmas party!

We finished our brilliant week with a brilliant party!

and a visit from Santa!

We finished off our advent calendar and all took turns wearing the hat.

Lets celebrate!

Our lunch time winners this week are… Kira and Emmett! Kira was an excellent role model and Emmett had marvellous manners. Well done you two!

This week our class voted for one boy and one girl to be our learning stars for the whole term! The staff agree with who was chosen, they are kind, caring, enthusiastic role models. They always make the right choices, try their best, always adhere to our school virtues and have worked brilliantly all term. So a very big well done to …. Hector and Cora! Very well deserved, keep it up you two!

Myself, Mrs Maano and Mrs Ely would like to celebrate the whole class too today! It has been a long hard half term and the children have worked their socks off. We have seen so much determination and progression, they have definitely earnt a nice break with their loved ones.

We would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! We hope it is a happy and memorable one for you all. We can’t wait to hear all about it in the new year.

Finally, on behalf of myself, Mrs Maano and Mrs Ely, a HUGE thank you. Not only for our generous gifts, they are massively appreciated, but for your support and the love you give your children every day, enabling them to come to school and thrive and be the very best that they can be. THANK YOU! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
