What are we learning today?
Phonics
You are going to be holding a sentence today, just like you have been doing in the youtube videos and like we do at school. Remember to say the sentence out loud, hold it in your memory and then write it down.
Grown ups, please can you:
1. Help your child to read the sentence. 2. Model writing the sentence, using fred talk to sound out any tricky words. 3. Practise reading and saying the sentence together (with actions). 4. Hide the modelled sentence and challenge your child to write the sentence all on their own. 5. Reveal the sentence again and ask your child to tick or fix, with a purple pencil.
Make sure you are reading for at least 20 minutes every day. I would love you to quiz on Accelerated Reader at least once a week. You can find the link on the how to help your child page.
